As the owner of the fishing shop, I get the question all the days fly fishing flies high for this time of year, month, river, etc., is very dependent on water fish, but I picked my five favorite flies fly fishing this summer you can fish anywhere in southern Colorado to Northern California or North Carolina.
My five essential elements:
1) Chubby Chernobyl: The Chubby Chernobyl is a high floating fly is virtually unsinkable and very easy to see in the water with his big right wing. The Chubby Chernobyl is a general trend of research that can be used to mimic salmon flies, golden stones, or containers by size and color. The Chubby is also a hopper dropper fly fishing fly amazing due to its high buoyancy and visibility in all types of water. I love to fish this fly in black, beige, brown body tones, pink and green. This is the perfect combination of land attractor impersonator, floating stone big mistakes - that floats all day and is easy to see what's in the water.
2) 20 Incher Tungsten: Tungsten 20 Incher is my go to drip from the Chubby. The 20 Incher is going to fly anywhere in the West. A big attraction nymph, with gold stone finish, I successfully pulled in Shoshone, Animas, and numerous small coves. This is a nymph stroller forward who does a great job of imitating a variety of aquatic insects and pikes 20 incher.
3) Yeagers Tantrum: Wrath of Yeager is a combination of the Chernobyl Ant Tarantula with a Turk. The combination of these two flies offers the best of both worlds, the buoyancy foam and hackle hair to give you the "real feel" with a cap shaped pink to give good visibility. I love it when my fried ask? "What you take" I Run ... A temper tantrum The is also a good candidate to lead successfully dropper.
4) Space Invader: Space Invader recommend Karnopp for banners in water situations. The Rubberlegs and peacock herl create a great "swim-ability" in the water leading to excellent results when I used this fly in the last two years. This is a great all around and banners model I use both the Brown & Yellow & Black and olive green.
5) Five O'Clock Shadow Price: Where there is great brown, not necessarily one that can not resist a mouse trying to return home. The Five O'Clock Shadow is another invention of Kevin Price and this is my go flying when I'm looking at the big brown land. The Shadow uses a design similar to El Raton fly low price but has a friendly trout stinger hook on the back. I caught the trout Montana aggressive flight with very good results and raised some local trout here in Colorado.
These trends will fish more this summer - and save valuable time looking for the perfect tan-fly you. These flies will not answer all the puzzles you're in the water this summer grow flies to add to your collection and you can fish in many different situations and environments.
