When fish buzzbaits: Most game fish buzzbaits when surface temperature ranges from about 65 to 90 degrees. In spring and autumn, which are low all day in many lakes, but in summer, when the water is warm, usually are more effective at the beginning and end of the day. Fishermen buzzbait describe the weather perfect as rain or mist coated winds and calms.

Where to fish buzzbaits:

1. Around the shallow wood cover, in particular strains brushpiles newspapers and sit-down.

2. Submerged in shallow seagrass beds, especially when the ear and hydrilla does not just come to the surface.

3. With emerging as maidencane fine grass or reeds.

4. Around flooded willow bushes, especially in late spring when increased reservoir levels.

5. Around floating debris (litter, newspapers, etc.), especially at the rear ends of tributaries.

Buzzbait Size: Determining the appropriate size buzzbait weighing the following variables:

1. Under size in the lake fishing. If bass rarely exceed £ 2, 1/4 oz buzzbait is generally preferable. When fat low, you should use a larger ring.

2. Low mood. When the bass are inactive and hold to cover, so there is usually a slow retrieve try to hit a buzzbait. Due to the large buzzers are heavier and sink more quickly, you should use a lighter buzzbait when the bite is slow.

3. water temperature. At the beginning and end of the season, buzzbait, start with small buzzers (is usually 1/4 oz, but sometimes as small as 1/8 oz), in anticipation of fish less active in cold water.

4. Wind. If there is a breeze surface waviness, use a large buzzbait, which make more noise and are easier to locate low.

Buzzbait Color: Most fishermen rarely consider color to be a factor in buzzbaits, but pro fishermen feel differently. This is what I recommend:

A. In clear water on sunny days, use natural bait colors - gray smoke, clear sequins.

B. In a dark lake or when the sky is cloudy, use (black, dark green) dark colors or bright colors (white, chartreuse, hot pink).

C. In lakes with a large population of crappie, try a (fire tiger) skirt chartreuse / orange.

Tackle Buzzbait: From buzzbaits fished around the casing, and because they are large bass lures, opposite the thick, heavy line is recommended. At 6 feet, 3 inches baitcasting rod with a medium or medium-heavy is ideal, some experts use longer rods, even flipping or throwing sticks, especially known for serious gaps larger fish. Some "give" to the tip is necessary, otherwise it will react too quickly when low and pull the lure of the mouth. Use 14 to 20 pound test line with a high resistance to abrasion.

Trailer Tow hooks or buzzbaits: most professionals still fish a buzzbait with a trailer hitch. Often short-Strike Under these lures and many fish will be connected to the trailer. If the bass is just the bait, replace it with a small treble hook to hook the standard trailer. This even catch bass that are hitting the lure with your mouth closed. A trailer (food, eel tail fraction, etc.) can be used to increase the visibility and flotation of a buzzbait, but low short boots hit the lure, must be removed.

Now that you know the basics of using a buzzbait, through trial and error, you will find what works and what does not work.
