The South Platte, a river on the eastern slope of Colorado is a fly fishing hotspot. Late winters and early spring is the time when cutthroats enter the river water. As spring proceeds, rainbow trout of over 15 pounds begin to show. In summer, most brown and rainbow touts become 18-24 inches long. The region with its large population of trout is indeed, a dream stream for all fly fishing enthusiasts.
