Everyone has a story about catching the big one and the story always takes place somewhere else. The thing is if you are fishing then you are living the dream. It's not always about numbers or sizes but rather just getting away.
You see I could name off at least a dozen places and give them the claim to fame that they hold the best walleye fishing. To me however that claim to fame has a different meaning. To me it's about the escape, the relaxation and the time to myself. It's a time to shut the cell phone off and get back to nature. It's a time to forget that an outside world even exists.

Heck this could have been titled the best minnow fishing and it would have the same meaning. Of course I do have my favourites in all those categories but really that's irrelevant to you because thousands of others also have their favourites as well.
What should stay consistent with many people about the best walleye fishing is living the dream. Each time you arrive at the lake, dugout, pond, river or creek you should have the warm fuzzy feeling that you are about to participate in possibly the best recreation sport known to mankind. You should accept the fact that you may catch 100 fish or you may catch zero fish. The important thing is you are doing something you love.
Of course there are people who rely on fishing to make their mortgage payment and that is all good but for the most part we are all in it for the love of it. At the end of the day it's not about the biggest, baddest boat, the most expensive tackle or the best spot. Rather best walleye fishing should be about bringing you back to your childhood and forgetting any cares in the world.
