Central Heating
Just as in normal households, you can set the thermostat to a specific temperature and, when the temperature goes below what you have set, the heat will kick on to remedy that. The thermostat acts as a signaling device to the broiler and will tell it when to fire up the pump. The pump will then allow water to flow through a small gap in a pipe that will build up pressure. The pressure of the water will then cause the gas valve to open.
Now that the gas valve is open, the gas is released, ignited, and the subsequent flame is used to heat up the water that was let through. This water is heated until it reaches a certain temperature, and then is released through the heating system when the system valve opens. The water in the heating system now circulates and increases the heat in the house until it is back up to the temperature that is set on your thermostat.
Hot Water
How does the water get heated? Well the combi boiler system heats up hot water much like it does the air; using pressure of water through a small gap to cause the ignition of the flame and the heating up of the water. The main difference between when a combi broiler system heats up the air as opposed to the hot water is that the hot water taps that will signal the boiler to start. From there hot water is heated by a flame, and then that heated water is taken through the water tap, through the pipes, and is delivered at the required source.
Combi boilers are the perfect energy efficient solution to smaller homes because they save space and are able to effectively heat up water. These energy efficient and cost effective boilers last for years and are an excellent upgrade for those with older, less reliable boiler systems. While these boiler systems could easily be used in larger homes, there arises a problem when providing the necessary hot water for more than one area at a time.
When you have decided on the type of boiler you would like in your home, then ensure you select a professional plumber to install it. Whether you are looking for london plumbers or any other plumbers then double check they have the appropriate qualifications such as "gas safe" certificate to carry out the work.
